Please refer to an educational 3D animation with an easy, visual demonstration of the reasons behind snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. The animation below makes it clear to understand how the positioning of three little implants helps fix the palatal vibration and collapse which causes snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.

This procedure works on the most common source of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea – the soft palate. At some point in the procedure, three little woven implants are positioned in the soft palate.
With time the implants, along with the body’s fibrotic response, contribute structural support that strengthens the soft palate. The strengthening of the soft palate reduces tissue vibration that can cause snoring and palatal tissue collapse that blocks the upper airway and cause obstructive sleep apnea.
You can’t see or feel the implants, nor will they interrupt with swallowing or talking. Most patients resume routine diet and activities the same day of the procedure.
